I'm hearing "chatter" of a Top Speed event. Next Month. Rumours perhaps but worth stating.

“We have the aero, we've tested it, and we know the [Jesko Absolut] powertrain can push beyond 500kph… [311mph] but it's down to having the tire to be able to plan the attempt for us to make it safe."

Michelin spun tyres to 500km/h and beyond on aircraft tyre test rigs years ago.
SSC North America and Hennessey Performance have said similar things I'm sure.

they've both been renamed to what they are actually called (jesko attack / absolut) with new images reflecting the actual models

Repost. Official video.
Performance km/h
0- 100= 2.9 seconds
0- 200= 6.2 seconds
0- 300= 10.5 seconds
0- 400= 18.1 seconds
Sexy Metrics comparison. Not bad LOL!

Video below through https://somewes.com/frame-count/
100- 200MPH= 6.988 seconds in 486 metres. That's a very seriously quick midrange.
It beat the Rimac Nevera. Triple checking to come.

I wonder what it is like being Bugatti right now and knowing that this car kicks their ass and the successor of the Absolut could have more than 2400 hp and 4WD and that it will likely be released before the Tourbillon even hits production? At Koenigsegg's current production cycle their line-up will look like this when the Tourbillon production ends and Bugatti can finally build a new car:
Jesko Absolut > ~2026 2400 hp 4WD (?) successor > whatever comes next in ~2029
CC850 > ~2027 successor > whatever comes next in ~2030
2300 hp 4WD Gemera > ~2029/2030 successor
If Bugatti doesn't have a second line or something other up their sleeve they're gonna be well and truly left in the dust. And with three lines Koenigsegg can focus on a super powerful two-seater, a lightweight analogue and/or track focused two-seater and a luxury four-seater, so can battle on all fronts. They even have the tech to release a class leading BEV and take on Rimac.

Old Koenigsegg: we'll keep you up to date on what our cars can do, including several track tests and we'll even hand out our cars to Top Gear several times.
New Koenigsegg: we made a car, but we never post anything relevant about it and just walk around said shell car several times without ever actually driving it. Wanna know how fast it is? Pay several millions. And that's only if you get lucky enough to not be sold to a garage keeper.

imagine having 150kgs of downforce with a glorified 1500hp drag racer. never going to see track or speed records with this only going to see some happy crash sessions with the bald swede banning you from reviewing his car again. also fugly car
